The deadline to apply for the Raymond C. Sittig Conference Scholarship has been extended to 5:00 p.m., February 18, 2013.

All FCCMA members are eligible to apply. Please go to http://fccma.org/scholarships-2/ to download the application. The applicant will need to attach an essay of approximately 500 words expressing your beliefs on the importance of Home Rule. The essays will be reviewed by the Awards Committee and the final selection will be made with the Sittig family.

The deadline to apply for the Emerging Leaders Scholarship is 5:00 p.m., February 18, 2013. This scholarship will be awarded to public administration students and entry-level professionals (budget analysts, management analysts, interns and assistants) on the basis of commitment to city/county management, career goals, affiliation to FCCMA, and financial need based on either salary or the organization’s ability to support the cost to attend the Annual Conference. A one-year complimentary FCCMA membership will be given to the recipient.

Please go to http://fccma.org/scholarships-2/ to download the application. The applicant will need to attach one double-spaced, typewritten page in response to the following question: “Why is receiving assistance important to you?”

Both scholarships will provide the recipient with a complimentary conference registration and a complimentary sleeping room at the conference hotel for the length of the event.
