The Senior Plan Reviewer performs technical work in the reviewing of the more difficult plans and applications of residential and commercial construction projects for compliance with applicable codes and ordinances. Conducts on-site inspections of construction work in progress for compliance with applicable codes and approved building plans; provides technical assistance to contractors, developers, architects for questions related to building codes, land development regulations, permitting requirements and other applicable City Ordinances.
The successful candidate will hold a State of Florida certification as a Building Structural Plan Reviewer or inspector AND certification, or be able to obtain certification within one year of hire, as a mechanical, electrical or plumbing inspector. Must possess a valid Florida Driver’s License. Knowledge of civil site engineering design and construction methods or fire protection, engineering, architecture or building construction activities.
Annual salary range for this Civil Service position is $53,060 – $82,222 depending on qualifications. A superior benefits package is offered.
