Much has been written about solar energy, electric deregulation, electric vehicles, and other emerging issues in the electric utility sector. But what does it all mean for Florida’s cities and counties? What is the experience in other states? What does it mean in terms of local government revenues (i.e. gas tax revenues and infrastructure)? What complications and challenges will local governments experience in the short and median term and what steps should local governments be taking now to plan and budget for these challenges? This months webinar will offer a perspective on these and other issues as seen through the lens of the Florida Municipal Power Agency. All local governments are impacted and should try to have key staff participate in this webinar.
