For the first time in its on-site regional training series, FCCMA will focus on veterans and their transition to local government management. Linda Sublin, the Executive Director of CareerSource Walton will describe the services provided to veterans who aspire to enter into the local government profession and to local governments who aspire to employ veterans in their agencies. Port Orange's City Manager, Jake Johansson will describe his own journey/transition from military service to local government manager and will offer important lessons learned and advise for both local government employers and for those military people interested in transitioning to a career in local government. This interactive session is a wonderful opportunity for military personnel who aspire for a career in local government and for local government managers interested in hiring these experienced and valued pool of candidates.
