12:00 pm: "Fire Assessment Fees: Process and Considerations in Florida Local Governments"12:00 pm: "Fire Assessment Fees: Process and Considerations in Florida Local Governments" – Recently, FCCMA held a webinar on fire assessment fees that was considered by many as one of the more substantive training sessions provided in FCCMA's webinar series. The speaker for that session, Camille Tharpe, Senior Vice President of Government Services Group, has agreed to cover this topic again in an informal half-day on-site training session in Auburndale. Joining Camille, will be representatives from two Polk County Cities: Brad Johnson, Interim Deputy City Manager in Lakeland and Jonathan Evans, City Manager in Haines City; both have gone through the fire assessment process with different outcomes and can offer their perspectives on the plethora of details regarding the process and lessons learned. This is a wonderful opportunity for anyone considering this important revenue option and for anyone who has gone through the process before and is considering pursuing it again. If you are not able to attend, please be sure to send one or more staff members because the information provided at this session is sure to be exceptionally informative. Speakers:
