On February 21, 2013, from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm, join the Florida City and County Management Association for an informational webinar on the critical challenge of local government pension reform.

In this session, local government leaders from the cities of Palm Beach, Naples and Largo will discuss their own pension reform experiences.  Attendees will learn what legal, organizational and political obstacles had to be overcome and the strategy each city utilized to make real, lasting reform possible. This is a “must attend” session for local government managers wrangling with the challenge of growing and unsustainable pension costs. This session will cover ICMA Practice Areas 10, 11& 14: Budgeting, Financial Analysis & Advocacy and Interpersonal Communication.

The panelists are: Peter Elwell, Town Manager, Town of Palm Beach; Roger Reinke, Assistant City Manager, City of Naples; and Henry Schubert, Assistant City Manager, City of Largo.

We encourage you to participate in the phone panel discussions by asking questions. If you prefer, you may submit questions anonymously via email to fccma@cflge.org either in advance or during the discussion.
