“Florida's Chief Inspector General: Roles and Responsibilities”
The role of Florida's Chief Inspector General is to promote accountability, integrity, and efficiency in state government. Understanding the details of this role and the relationship this office has with local governments is unclear to many in the local government profession. Melinda Miguel, Florida's Chief Inspector General, will discuss these roles and relationships, and clarify questions local government professionals have regarding these responsibilities.
Melinda Miguel was appointed as Florida's Chief Inspector General by Governor Christ and reappointed by Governor Scott. She is also a past president of the National Association of Inspector Generals.
