A webinar will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2015 from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm. The topic discussed will be “Bond Basics 101.”
As communities consider funding for capital projects (buildings, roads, and other infrastructure), decisions need to be made on how best to fund these projects. Some are better financed with a “pay as you go” approach while others are more suited to be financed through debt which is intended to spread the financial obligation out many years while the infrastructure is being used. For those communities that finance some of their capital using debt, they must then determine what type of debt instruments should be considered. This webinar will focus on “bond financing” as one of these alternatives. More specifically, attendees of this FCCMA webinar will learn the full range of bond financing and will gain knowledge on how to identify when and how to use bond financing as well as gain understanding on the process and steps involved and the key players and tax implications that are part of this debt instrument. Mr. Underwood provides a very informative presentation that incorporates financial terminology into “layman’s terms.
