The ICMA Host Committee invites you to visit the Greater Kansas City Region, for the 102nd Annual Conference, September 25-28, 2016. Why Kansas City? Because Kansas City is home to the 2015 World Series Champion Kansas City Royals!!!
The Kansas City Royals, founded in 1969, compete in Major League Baseball (MLB) in the American League Central Division. The Royals have played at Kauffman Stadium, referred to as “The K,” formerly known as Royals Stadium, since 1973. The “K” is recognized as one of baseball’s most beautiful ballparks and features a 104′ high video board and a 322-foot wide water spectacular. The “K” has hosted many exciting games, including the 1973 All-Star Game, three no-hitters, playoff games and World Series titles in 1985 and 2015. Tours are conducted year-round and can be scheduled by calling 816-504-4222 or by visiting royals.com.
The Kansas City Royals will be hosting a four-game home series with the Minnesota Twins during the 2016 ICMA Annual Conference. The September 27, 28 and 29 games begin at 6:15 pm and the final game of the series will begin at 7:15 pm on September 30.
