The museum features South Texas historic artifacts and photographs, Texas art, textiles, the world-renowned Hertzberg Circus Collection, dinosaur bones, cave drawings, Texas wildlife dioramas and the four-story H-E-B Science Treehouse. At the end of the event, shuttle buses with drop off participants at a variety of San Antonio dining destinations including the Pearl, Southtown, and Houston Street areas.
- Tuesday Evening Social Event: A Night in Old San Antonio
Many wonderful sights and sounds make up San Antonio’s festive atmosphere. The city’s arts, architecture, cuisine and music are a charming blend of Texan and Mexican cultures. Tonight, enjoy a NIOSITA, a private miniature version of “A Night In Old San Antonio”, a special celebration offering the flavor of San Antonio with a traditional fiesta. Held in the plazas of the original, historic downtown village of La Villita, this event will be a night to remember featuring traditional food and a bar under the bright Texas stars. Following the NIOSITA, participants will dance the night away with the high energy 80’s music experience of The Spazmatics.
Complete details will be available on the ICMA Conference website (icma.org/conference), where online registration and the conference housing bureau will open on Wednesday, June 28 at 12 Noon EDT.
