“Your City at Risk: Be Prepared”
Crestview – March 3 • Altamonte Springs – March 24 • St. Pete Beach – March 31
DESCRIPTION:
Accidents. Disasters. Response. Every hour of every day, Florida’s municipalities deliver a wide variety of services smoothly and efficiently. However, we know from media reports that all too often, accidents and disasters do occur . . . despite our best plans, policies and procedures.
How can your city understand its risks, either eliminate or manage them effectively, and properly communicate to the public it serves?
This Florida League of Cities’ summit will begin with a discussion about public perceptions of safety across Florida. Attendees will then learn how to identify risks within the many services cities provide, and learn how to best address each of those risks. In the afternoon, service delivery experts will join attendees to delve deeper into specific service concerns.
Join your colleagues to learn how to reduce and eliminate risks to improve service delivery, save money and build safer cities.
WHO: Elected officials, managers, risk managers and department directors. Open only to municipalities that are members of the Florida League of Cities.
COST: No charge
