On Friday December 7, we held our District III training event in Satellite Beach. The topic was “Practical Approaches to Implementing Sustainability Initiatives” and our group of 20 shared thoughts and ideas regarding a variety of topics, including case law in Florida and nationally, building heights and coastal setbacks, creating sustainability boards and implementing sustainable/green project ideas. Attendees enjoyed the opportunity to network and meet others engaged in local government work. Keep a look out for more great training programs like this from FCCMA in the future!
