Hello FCCMA Members:
I’m thrilled to announce our registration is open for the FCCMA 2023 Annual Conference in Orlando this summer. The conference will be held May 31 – June 3, at the Hyatt Grand Cypress. Please register by May 12, 2023, to take advantage of the early bird registration rate. We have some outstanding speakers lined up for the conference. This year’s keynote speakers are Sam Silverstein, Andrew Busch, Sheryl Scully, and Cassius Butts. Visit our conference webpage and click on the speakers’ photos to learn more about them.
On March 10, 2023, the FCCCMA Nominating Committee convened to interview candidates for the Board of Directors. The Committee recommended Orange Park Town Manager Sarah Campbell as Secretary-Treasurer. Sarah currently sits on the Board as District II Director. Also, Tallahassee City Manager Reese Goad is recommended for the open At-Large Director seat. The Slate of Officers for program year 2023-2024 will be presented to the general membership at the Annual Business Meeting on Thursday, June 1st during the conference.
Next week, on Thursday, April 6th, we will offer another informative free coaching webinar. It will cover “Working with your UF/IFAS Extension Offices”. This webinar will provide attendees with greater knowledge of the resources available to them locally through their Extension office and how those resources can be used to improve the quality of life for their residents.
